UPDATE: The Pueblo Classic bike race scheduled to take place in Pueblo on Saturday and Sunday, March 14th and 15th has been cancelled. After consultation with the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference and Race organizers and consultation with the Pueblo Department of Health and Environment, Mayor Gradisar has cancelled the Pueblo Classic event in the best interest of all participants. The Cycling Association will reach out to all sponsors regarding the cancellation. We look forward to working with the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference to reschedule the bike race later this year or again next spring.

A Full Weekend of Bike Racing
The Pueblo Classic will host the Steel City Road Race on Saturday, March 14th. This race will be an out and back course starting in downtown Pueblo and follow the sweeping turns and rolling hills along the US Department of Transportation’s rail test tract. On Sunday, March 15th, we will host the Pueblo Chilly Criterium. This circuit road race will take place right in the heart of Pueblo — offering a great opportunity to view the excitement from the comfort of local businesses and restaurants.
A New Venue for Collegiate Cycling
The Pueblo Classic is designed to provide a new venue for collegiate cycling in Colorado. Unfortunately, Colorado’s unpredictable weather can limit the number of competition opportunities for college cyclists. Pueblo sits in a sweet spot for weather in Colorado — offering a great stage for an early season bike race. By registering to race at The Pueblo Classic, you can start off your 2020 season strong by earning points this march 14th and 15th!

Join the mayor and chief of police in Pueblo on Sunday, March 15th for a community ride through downtown. In between the morning and afternoon sets of races for the Pueblo Chilly Criterium, we invite the local community of Pueblo to join the fun by riding your personal bike throughout the racecourse of the criterium.
