The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the Chile Fest 50/50 Jackpot Winner – Linda Abeyta. The jackpot raised $13,185 and in true 50/50 fashion the winner walked away with half the pot totaling at $6,592.50.
Linda is Pueblo through and through. She was born and raised in Pueblo, attended East High School and works hard for and supports her community.
“I’d like to express how appreciative I am for the opportunity! I just couldn’t believe I won! I saw the number come out and checked it and checked it and couldn’t believe it. I will gladly volunteer to sell tickets next year,” said Linda. “I am proud to be from Pueblo, I love my city.”
The jackpot launched on Friday, August 28th, and closed shortly after the Pueblo Chile & Frijoles Throwback Fest on Tuesday, September 29th. This was the first of its kind and the Chamber plans to run the jackpot annually in the fall around chile season.
The proceeds of this campaign will go back into the Chamber and Visit Pueblo to help sustain future tourism related development in Pueblo County including event recruitment & development, hospitality training, business development, community grants and more, for example, helping to put on the 2021 Pueblo Chile & Frijoles Festival.
The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who participated in the community jackpot. We can’t do what we do without the community’s support. Stay tuned for next year’s jackpot details on festival.pueblochamber.net.
