The 16th annual Pueblo Chieftain Veterans Day Parade will take place in Downtown Pueblo on Saturday, November 11th at 10am. This year’s theme is “Pueblo’s Salute to the Spirit of Our Veterans.”
The parade starts at Union Avenue and B Street. The participants will travel north on Union before turning east on City Center Drive and then north onto Main Street, ending on Third Street.
Traditionally, this well-attended event has featured both veterans and active duty military groups, historic vehicles, law enforcement, marching bands, motorcycles, Boy Scouts and more.
Selected as grand marshal for this year’s parade is David Jiron, a Marine who served from 1988 to 1996, including during Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He currently is commander of American Legion Post #2.
The honorary marshal is Dan Aragon, an Army veteran who served in Vietnam from 1967-70.
Veterans and others who wish to participate in the parade must apply by November 1st. The parade application can be found at here.
Registration for parade participants will take place from 7-9:30am November 11th at the Gold Dust Saloon, 217 S. Union Ave.
